Howling Wolf

The Howling Wolf is an overdrive pedal that has a soft, slightly vintage tone. It can be used for applications as diverse as a simple clean boost with the drive turned all the way down, to playing heavier metal with an almost fuzz-like sound.

The design for this circuit came from an initial misconception around how tube-screamer-style pedals work. However, after some experimentation, this pedal was the result. Although it still definitely fits into the general description of an overdrive pedal, it provides something unique in the way that it reacts to its input. The pedal goes between pure diode soft-clipping overdrive when played softly and a mix of diode clipping and op-amp distortion when really pushed.

This pedal requires a 9V centre-negative adaptor (not included) to function
